Can You Identify this Item Discovered in my Mexican Food?

Discovered in my Mexican food leftovers from Monterrey's in Pensacola, FL. Found after chewing, prior to swallowing... thankfully.

Looks like some kind of thorny plant. Ew. Hey now's your chance to avoid work the rest of your life...how much is your lawyer going to ask for? LOL...

How did it taste? Did it go through your digestive system all spiny like that? That must have tickled!!! I've heard of Montezuma's Revenge, but I never saw it photographed before.q
